ANNE PORCELIJN, DUTCH / ENGLISH WOMAN ARTIST, SCULPTRESS, Amsterdam - The Netherlands
Anne Porcelijn, born in London in 1949, studied art in London and left England at an early age to live and work in Amsterdam.
Although she continued to paint and draw, she only discovered her greatest passion after a sculpture course given by Jose Walinga in Amstelveen.
Anne’s work varies from realistic/figurative to totally abstract, mainly in bronze and stone. Her starting point is how people and objects interact with one another and the action/reaction of the material and the subject.
She exhibits her work and is a regular contributor to Galerie Atelier Stam in Amsterdam, and a member of Kunstcollectief Octogoon.
